Overview
Now Hiring! Warehouse Distribution Manager
Location: Mentor, OH 44060
Schedule: Full Time, Exempt
Sunday: 2pm-11pm
Monday: 11am-8pm
Tuesday: 2pm-11pm
Wednesday: 11am-8pm
Thursday: 2pm-11pm
Friday: On call for backup, if worked another day would be off
Saturday: OFF

Job Summary: Manage a productive efficient flow of Inventory accountability, warehouse space, awareness of team, awareness of function and products both internal and external. Collaborate with management and team members improvements in the areas of Order fulfilment and coordination, Receiving, Monitor Inventory; Inventory turns and dating, and or training while using company platforms and systems. Build operation clarity of process and workflow by working with teams including IT process, Purchasing Process, Retail Market and evening Logistics team.
What You’ll Do :
Plant and Warehouse/Internal:
- Assist insuring maximum productivity process managing incoming and outgoing orders. Ensure all orders are picked, packed and ready for shipment in accordance to company guidelines.
- Display leadership when workloads and seasons shift from one task to the next
- Manage accuracy of customer orders and consolidation of products to packaging by building a better ration of what goes into each box
- Work with team to identify cost cutting measures to consolidate product to less boxes and packaging in all areas of shipping
- Work with management to evaluate and elevate areas of product slots and expediting
- Organizational communication regarding fulfilment departments to include fresh & frozen product, dry, specialty cooler and EFC market items as necessary
- 2024 goal to be certified in several areas of warehouse food safety, including cold chain Team safety, food safety, equipment certifications, overall training on GMP, and training on cleaning solutions, temperatures, and sanitation
- Identify and communicate product shortages with logistics and Plant Manager to the Direct Sales Reps to find alternative products to sell and or assist.
- Understand Company Processes that will include all System Programs as well as assist in Company roll out of new computer programs and scale management
- Assist in implementation in 2024 systems, understand, train, implement hand in hand with warehouse teams.
- Regularly inspect facility looking for all critical control points and safety hazards; resolve concerns by using company systems for process, temperature, reporting, and maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment.
- Team meetings required attendance and participation and or presenting as scheduled. Reviewing with team safety, sanitation process, chemical use as well as proper cold chain protocol.
- Responsible for new associate’s development through training on policies and procedures. Create a cohesive team by keeping lines of communication clear with all associates
- Overall functions performed in safety, sanitation, production oversight while staying true to efficiency thru GMP, HACCP, FDA and company processes and goals. (items to be trained on)
- Monitor a variety of operational information, quality, customer complaints, credits and ‘mis-picks’ Manage productivity reports, to insure the entire shift are meeting company goals by following preferred methods.
- Take action through coaching and counseling to correct behaviors, Assist if Employee write ups and or incident sheets are needed mandatory, discussed with management then submitted via Puzzle HR
- Work with management where appropriate to interview, hire, train, evaluate, discipline and terminate warehouse personnel through proper documentation and HR processes.
- Regularly participate and report to leadership team progress on company goals, system improvements
- Understand Company platforms by following company guidelines for production
- Continuously identify opportunities in company inventory: slots, counting frequency, cycle counts to improve distribution processes and procedures
- Assist in communicate changes and process updates to operations, retail and sales staff to assist team members in building teamwork and consistency
- Ensure team safety, food safety, equipment certifications, overall training on GMP, HACCP, Serve Safe along with training on cleaning solutions, temperatures, and sanitation
- Be familiar with Company as well as Operational Handbooks
Customer Internal and External:
- Ensure customer satisfaction at all levels as it ties back to warehouse processes and products, including customer returns, vendor understanding, and company follow-up
- Build positive and efficient relations and processes with all within the organizational warehouse. Including EFC’s drivers and third party delivery services
- Safety first mentality with Company employees as well as Safety with Company Products

What You’ll Need :
- Ability to interpret operational data
- Ability to discuss and implement new operational efficiencies
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements (Company will have you work with 3rd party representation to become proficient and certified in these areas in 2024)
- Strong leadership, communication and people development skills
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures
- Exceptional problem solving skills, computer skills
- Ability to manage several tasks while performing a high level of attention and detail
- Must be self-directed and possess good judgment
Working Conditions:
- Extended hours and weekend work is required, especially during busy seasons and promotional sales
- Frequently working in cold and refrigerated areas for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift and carry packages weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stay on your feet for extended periods.
