Job Summary

We are seeking a Travel Agent to join our team! As our Travel Agent, you will spend your days communicating with Leisure and Corporate clients, handling their travel needs, and planning their leisure and or business trips. You will also be responsible for suggesting trip recommendations, processing payments from clients, and maintaining communication throughout the journey to provide the best possible experience for the client. The ideal candidate has strong communication and customer service skills, previous GDS, sales and customer service experience, and can multitask across multiple projects and trips at any given time.

Responsibilities 

• Communicate with the client every step of the way, presenting multiple trip options based on their wants and needs
• Book trips, activities, and tours for clients utilizing the Amadeus GDS booking system as well as various others hotel, cruise and tour operators booking platforms. 
• Accept and process payments
• Maintain a line of communication throughout the trip planning process as well as the trip itself, and assist in any troubleshooting to give the client the best experience possible
• Maintain excellent records of clients, payments, trips, and other details 

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, customer service skills and ability to work with a small team of agents-coworkers 
• Strong listening skills, with the ability to translate what the client enjoys into a trip or experience 
• Must be comfortable communicating both over email and the phone with clients
• Proficient and willing to expand skills in Amadeus, our reservation and Global Distribution System (GDS).
• Familiarity with basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and common calendar or scheduling software
• Strong organizational skills
• The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed
• Bilingual, English / Spanish a plus
