The Opportunity Adept Group is seeking a
Senior Packaging Engineer to join our team with experience in the Industrial industry! This is an onsite position in Hanover, PA. This person would have experience with cost saving and sustainability initiatives, consolidations, and understand logistics and packaging.
Key Responsibilities - Leads multiple complex projects or assignments within large projects with minimal oversight.
- Lead packaging qualification activities by generating packaging protocols, overseeing test execution, analyzing test data, and authoring qualification reports.
- Lead the improvement and standardization of packaging on existing products with focus on performance and cost effectiveness
- Facilitate the resolution of the problems during the developmental process to meet the customer's needs
- Provide technical expertise for packaging risk assessments and failure mode/root cause analyses.
- Lead the improvement and standardization of packaging on existing products with focus on performance and cost effectiveness
- Maintain and establish ongoing communication with global counterparts and packaging vendors to support cost-savings initiatives
- Influence over internal and external stakeholders to have strategic, meaningful & lasting improvement
- Able to identify areas of cost savings or improvements to new and on market products
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in packaging engineering. Advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
- 5-10 years as a Packaging Engineer
- Technical depth on a packaging material, format, or process.
- Advanced understanding of the full packaging development and qualification process (or stage gate process).
- Advanced knowledge of resource planning for trials.
- Advanced knowledge of requirements related to packaging and labeling, ensuring robust package validation and qualification.
- Advanced understanding of project timeline development.
- Advanced communications (verbally and in writing) across internal and external teams.
- Advanced ability to multitask and manage time efficiently and effectively across multiple activities and tasks simultaneously.
