Ohio University's Department of Housing and Residence Life is committed to helping every Bobcat discover their potential and make a meaningful impact. The department seeks candidates for a full-time Resident Director (RD) position, an administrative contract position within the Department of Housing & Residence Life which reports directly to an Assistant Director of Housing & Residence Life. Directly supervising a residential community comprised of 200-600 residents. The RD position is an integral part of the Housing and Residence Life team. The department has designed and implemented a residential curriculum and RDs will have the opportunity to be part of establishing a curricular approach at OU, as well as other initiatives to support retention and student success.

Bachelor's degree required by start date
Some relevant work experience strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field required by start date.
The ability to understand and put into practice theories and models related to student development. Demonstrated supervisory skills including training and on-going developmental supervision. Experience in developing and implementing student focused programming. Evidence of strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience in facilitating student conduct hearings. Commitment to issues and matters relating to the field of Student Affairs. Experience responding to crisis situation and students in crisis.Planning Unit: Vice President for Student Affairs
