Job Responsibilities You will support the department by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities:Provide nutrition services to clients in the WIC Program as assignedComplete nutrition screening, assessment, and education for eligible WIC clients. Will be required to travel to the surrounding 16 counties as assigned. *At least one year of WIC experience is preferred.This position is housed in Columbus. Minimum Qualifications Nutritionist/Dietitian 1 - (Hire-in salary - $41,064.48)Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutritioneducation, food systems management, or a closely related field from an accreditedcollege or university AND verification statement of completion of a didactic programaccredited by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.Nutritionist/Dietitian 2 - (Hire-in salary - $45,170.93)Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutritioneducation, food systems management, or a closely related field from an accreditedcollege or university AND verification statement of completion of a didactic programaccredited by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics AND Two years of experienceproviding nutrition care to groups and individuals.Nutritionist/Dietitian 3 - (Hire-in salary - $51,946.80)Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, food and nutrition, nutritioneducation, food systems management or a closely related field from an accreditedcollege or university from an Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics accredited programAND One year of experience as a dietitian/nutritionist AND registration as a Dietitianby the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Commission on Dietetic Registration ANDlicensure as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.NOTE: According to Georgia Public Health WIC Program Guidelines, candidateswithout a verification statement, who can comply with the following requirements,may be eligible for consideration in this position:*Bachelor's or Master's degree in a nutrition field from an ACEND accredited DidacticProgram in Dietetics (DPD) but did not earn a verification statement. A letter from theDPD program director stating the individual successfully completed the program butdid not earn a verification statement can serve as coursework verification ORBachelor's or Master's degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, ClinicalNutrition, Dietetics, or Public Health Nutrition from an accredited college oruniversity that meets specific coursework criteria. Criteria can be reviewed andverified using Non-DPD required coursework reference. Additional Information All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency.
