POSITION
Entry level Project Manager - Environmental Due Diligence Services
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager within AEI's Due Diligence division will perform various environmental due diligence projects focused on commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will have knowledge or previous experience performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects and has superior customer service, writing, time management, and organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Environmental reviews
- State and federal regulatory program file reviews
- Field investigations
- Basic understanding of commercial real estate lending and finance
- Performance of environmental due diligence projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent writing, organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and have the ability to work productively on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff
- Previous experience performing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) preferred but not required
- Previous experience performing Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects focused on Agency lenders and Agency investor platforms in the commercial real estate sector preferred
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or related field required
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
- Active AHERA certification a plus
- Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification, asbestos inspector, and/or lead-based paint certification preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work environment may be both indoors and outdoors. Indoor work takes place in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Outdoor work requires the ability to effectively perform work in all types of weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel independently, sit, type, handle office and/or field equipment, speak and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, balance, kneel or crouch. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.
