Job Description

This position is responsible for cutting, trimming, boning, tying, and grinding meats to portion and prepare meat in cooking form.Essential Duties:Cutting, trimming, and boning carcass sections or prime cuts to reduce to cooking cuts such as roasts, steaks, chops, stew cubes, and grinding meatCutting and weighing steaks and chops for individual servingsShaping and tying roastsRecording quantity of meat received and issued to cuttersPerforming other duties as assigned to meet business needsQualifications:High school diploma or GED preferredTwo-three years related experience and/or trainingMust have the ability of using cutting utensils and running an electric pallet jack or forkliftMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Demands:Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 100 poundsFrequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 poundsOccasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 poundsCorporate Summary:At Shamrock Foods Company, people come first our associates, our customers, and the families we serve across the nation.
