JOB: Connecticut Lottery Corporation - Lottery Drawing Associate (Per Diem) Connecticut Lottery Corporation Position Vacancy Announcement (Open to the Public) TITLE: Lottery Drawing Associate (Per Diem) The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) is seeking applications to fill a Lottery Drawing Associate position to perform primarily mid-day drawings, while some weekend and evening drawings may also be required, on TV. Candidates must possess public speaking ability, preferably with broadcast and/or entertainment experience. Candidates must be reliable, precise and adhere to detailed procedures. Applicants are encouraged to become familiar with the format by watching telecasts in advance of applying for the position. Mid-Day drawings are broadcast at approximately 1:57pm, Monday through Sunday, including all holidays. The evening drawings are broadcast at 10:25pm. The drawings currently occur at our studio at FOX 61 in Hartford, CT regardless of the weather and/or transportation conditions. Lottery Drawing Associates are scheduled for in-studio assignments, requiring a time commitment from 12:45pm to approximately 2:45pm for a mid-day shift, and 8:45pm to approximately 11:30pm in the evening for a night drawing. On-call back-up assignments are also required. For every in studio shift scheduled, you will be scheduled a backup shift as well. While there is flexibility in scheduling assignments, Lottery Drawing Associates are expected to meet the obligations of their assignments. Lottery Drawing Associates are “per diem” employees. Payment is made only for scheduled assignments worked. Each full assignment includes one shift and one backup. Failure to work both assignments may result in zero payment. There is no presumption of permanent status, or rights to any benefits while in this position. Successful candidates must be willing to undertake necessary tasks in order to assure the integrity and professional presentation of each drawing. Additional tasks include, but are not limited to lifting/moving equipment, wearing appropriate attire, completion of documentation, completing training sessions, appearing on camera, ball weighing sessions and completing technical tasks.
