DAVENPORT CNC Screw Machine Setter/Troubleshooter 1st or 2nd Shift

PrideStaff is working with an established manufacturer that is seeking a top-notch DAVENPORT SCREW MACHINE SETTER/TROUBLESHOOTER who can think and work independently.

The main priority will be setting up jobs and troubleshooting when necessary. You must be able to edit and alter a program when needed.

The candidate will have the option of working 1 st or 2 nd Shift

• 1 st Shift – 6AM- 3:30PM (M-F)
• 2 nd Shift - 3:30PM- 12:30AM (M-F)
• Periodic Saturdays may be required

This is a FULL TIME Temp-to-Hire position.

Pay is up to $40/HR for the right person and all vacation time would be negotiable

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set-up and operate a DAVENPORT CNC Lathe Machine
• Read prints
• Complete part inspection
• Identify different materials, know the machining properties, use correct tooling and the required feeds and speeds
• Diagnose process problems and make appropriate corrections
• Comply with safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be mechanically inclined
• Have excellent problem-solving skills

OTHER:

Swiss Machines a PLUS

• Clear understanding of G600 series codes is required

Mori-Seiki and Eurotech Machines a PLUS

• Must be experienced with duel turret machines and overlapping operations to reduce cycle time
• Must have a clear understanding of standard G-codes
• Have experience with making the necessary changes that require math to adjust angles when needed.
