Summary

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in purchasing materials to meet our operational needs while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

Plan, issue, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and inventory control aligned with sales requirements.
Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding schedule changes, delivery schedules, and quality issues.
Analyze inventory levels and maintain buying forecasts to achieve target inventory levels for all products.
Ensure accuracy of system data related to lead times and supply chain updates.
Manage cost data and vendor capacities to make informed recommendations for supplier selection.
Proactively track critical orders and follow up on open orders to ensure timely delivery.
Expedite orders as necessary and manage existing orders efficiently.
Cultivate positive relationships with suppliers and internal branches to fulfill our supply needs.
Review MRP planned requirements and implement supply plans for designated items/locations.
Resolve product backlogs and drive improvements, conducting root cause analysis for stock outs, missed deliveries, and non-conforming products.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar purchasing role.
Experience in packaging distribution is preferred.
Proficiency with MRP systems is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
