Summary:

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in purchasing materials to meet our operational needs while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

Plan, issue, and manage purchase orders to ensure a controlled flow of inventory that meets sales requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding schedule changes, delivery schedules, and quality issues.
Analyze inventory levels and maintain buying forecasts to achieve target inventory levels.
Ensure system data accuracy for lead times and supply chain updates.
Manage cost data and vendor capacity to provide optimal supplier recommendations.
Proactively track critical orders and follow up on open orders.
Expedite orders as necessary and oversee existing orders.
Foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal branches to fulfill our supply needs.
Review MRP Planned requirements and implement supply plans for designated items/locations.
Resolve product backlogs and drive continuous improvements, conducting root cause analysis for stockouts, missed deliveries, and non-conforming products.
Perform additional duties and projects assigned by the VP of Operations.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Preferred experience in packaging distribution; MRP experience is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
